Num 14:7-11 And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land.
8 If the Lord delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey.
9 Only rebel not ye against the Lord, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the Lord is with us: fear them not.
10 But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. And the glory of the Lord appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the children of Israel.
11 And the Lord said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have shewed among them?
KJV
How long before Israel believes? The Lord is still waiting for Israel to believe and one day they will and all the promises of God for that nation will come to pass. I wonder how many times the Lord has asked that very same question concerning me or you? How long until they believe the gospel and get saved? Very few were saved the first time they heard and understood the gospel. So, how long before they believe? How long until they realize the power in prayer? So many ignore the privilege of prayer and the invitation to pray until that is their last resort. Why not take all to the Lord first? So, how long? How long until they see the need to fellowship and gather together with those of like precious faith? So many lack the spiritual strength they can find when they meet with brothers and sisters in Christ in the church house. Christ instituted the church for a purpose yet how it is ignored today. So, how long? How many how longs are in your life still today? Perhaps it is time to allow the Lord to say well done instead of how long. So, how long?
