August 24th, 2021 by Pastor SolleyJohn 1:35-42 Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;
36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!
37 And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.
38 Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?
39 He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.
40 One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.
41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.
42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

It is good to take time to remember. Can you remember the day that you met Jesus, the day you found Jesus, the day that Jesus became your savior? I have talked to people who have told me that they think they are saved and when asked they can’t remember when. That is something that I cannot understand. I am sure that Andrew remembered for the rest of his life the day that he met Jesus. So thrilled was Andrew upon meeting the Messiah that he went and found his brother and brought him to Jesus. I am just as sure that Peter for the rest of his life remembered the day that he met Jesus, the day that Jesus became his savior. It is good to stop and remember the day that you met Jesus. I can remember the day, over fifty years ago, that I met Jesus, the day I was born again. I can remember just as if it happened yesterday. It is not important that one remembers the exact date, the exact time that they met Jesus, but if one is truly born again they ought to remember. One ought to remember the time, the circumstances that brought them to Jesus, one ought to remember the place where they made Jesus their personal savior. Can you remember when you met Jesus? If not perhaps you have never really met Him. It is good to remember.
