Rom 1:1-4 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,
2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)
3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

Do you know what you have been called to be? Paul had no doubt that he had been called to be an apostle, called to be separated to the gospel of Jesus Christ for the purpose of taking that soul saving gospel to the lost. Paul knew what he was called to be. Do you? Many must answer no to that question and the reason for that is set before us in verse one. Paul made himself a servant of Jesus Christ and that is the primary reason he knew what he was called to be. So many looking for their place in live, for their calling in life have never made themselves a true servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Greek word translated servant in verse one means a bondman, a slave, one who is owned by another and Paul realized that he was owned by Christ from the very moment he was born again. Paul realized he was bought with a price and he bound himself for the one who bought and paid for him with His own precious blood. Paul was then free and willing to serve Jesus Christ and then he found that calling of God. Many do not know what they have been called to be because they have never surrendered as a servant to Christ. The Bible tells is that we have been created for His pleasure and until we fully surrender to Christ we cannot know what His pleasure is for us and for our lives. God does have a calling for every blood bought believer in Jesus Christ but to know that calling we must surrender to serve Him. More tomorrow.
