June 7th, 2021 by Pastor SolleyPs 126 When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.
2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them.
3 The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.
4 Turn again our captivity, O Lord, as the streams in the south.
5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

We tend to look many times at the dark side of things, to focus on what we are going through or have gone through in this world. There are many things that will depress us if we keep our eyes on the troubles of this world. Yet we find this truth in verse three above “The Lord hath done great things for us”. What if we turned out attention to the good things of God instead of the troubles of this world? Our tears may very well be turned to joy. (Verse 5) Our words may match the words of David is Psalm forty. (Ps 40:1-3 I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. 2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. 3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.) We may very well be singing His praises instead of questioning the actions of God. Today try and focus on the good things God has already done for you, fill your day with praise in stead of complaint. See if God puts a new song in your heart.
