1 Cor 16:13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

Above is the first times those words. Be strong, are found in the New Testament. Notice we are to stand fast in our faith, not to be moved away from our faith, fight for our faith. Then we find we are to quit like men. The meaning here is that we are to finish well, to remain faithful to our Lord, to remain strong, to finish well. No one knows what tomorrow will bring but the one thing we can be sure of is that there will be trials along the way. Israel found that out when the enemies of God were strong. By not standing fast in the Lord it cost them forty years and an entire generation lost. What does the strong enemy before us today cost us? Many are in fear about tomorrow, about the strength of the enemy before us. So many questions abound today that they plant doubt in the hearts of God’s people. Yet we are to finish well. Finish like a real man of God. Israel found out their God was stronger than the enemy and we will find out the very same thing today if we remain faithful to our Lord. Watch ye, look at the enemy and his tactics. But also stand fast and be strong.
