April 30th, 2021 by Pastor SolleyNum 14:1-4 And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night.
2 And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness!
3 And wherefore hath the Lord brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?
4 And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt.

In what way will life be better without the Lord in it? The children of Israel, even in being delivered from bondage in Egypt, experienced trials and struggles on their way to the Promised Land. Now as they were about to enter into that land there came the report of giants in the land in chapter thirteen. It was too much, they would turn away from the Lord and go back to that old life. But what was going to better without the Lord? That was a question they failed to ask. There are times when we struggle through life it seems. Sickness, problems, trials and more trials. We may wonder at times what the Lord is doing and why? But ask yourself the question they failed to ask. In what way is life going to better without the Lord in it? Remember the 23rd Psalm, as the sheep looks to the shepherd every part of life was better as long as it stayed in the flock, as long as that sheep stayed under the tender care of the shepherd. So is every part of life better when we stay with our Good Shepherd. What part of life would be better without the Lord in it?
