Our theme this week seems to be small statements that carry great weight and here we find another in Psalm 30:10. I am always filled with wonder at the change that takes place when one calls out to the Lord for mercy and help. Not just the change when the person calls out but the eternal change that takes place. Eternity is changed when one calls out to the Lord in faith and believing, when one calls out for mercy. I was able to listen yesterday as one prayed with many tears running down their face for Jesus to forgive them of sin and be their savior. In an instant eternity was changed, with just a few words eternity was changed, with a crying out to Jesus a life was forever changed in an instant. And how many other lives will be changed because of that moment we will not know now but God already does. The words “Jesus saves” are not found in that way in the Bible but we do know that Jesus does and will save all who cry out to Him. That one now has the Lord as their helper, do you?
