March 4th, 2021 by Pastor Solley2 Cor 12:7-9 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Small problems like the axe head, big problems like the mountain, standing in the furnace of affliction, one thing we can count on is the grace of God. Is His grace sufficient for you? I know some who would tell you it is not, others who will tell you it is. Where is the answer? The answer is found in how we respond to the trials and sorrows of life. Turn to self, turn to the world, turn to friends and family and His grace will not be sufficient because you have not turned to Him. All of the above may offer helps but they can never really meet the need. But what happens when we turn all over to Jesus? The trials may not immediately cease, our sorrow not at once taken away, but we find the grace and strength to make it through each passing day. The affliction that Paul had was never taken away in this world. Paul endured many trials, was persecuted, and finally gave his life for Jesus. But what Paul lived and wants us to know by inspiration of the Holy Spirit is that His grace is truly sufficient. Are you turning to Him day by day? When that answer is yes you will know that what the Bible says in the above passage is true because you will be living it.
