2 Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:
3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

Acts 1:3 is the only place the word passion appears in the Bible and the phrase “After His passion” is a reference to the cross. But did the passion of Jesus end with the cross, end with souls? That answer is no. Another Jesus has passion for are the redeemed, those save by His precious blood. (Heb 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.) He ever liveth, there is passion in those words, passion for those who know Him as their savior. Did you know Jesus is always watching out for you if you are saved? Always protecting, always providing, always guiding, Jesus has a passion for you. Some professing believers may claim they are not aware of that passion while others claim they feel it day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute. What make the difference? Our passion for Him. Be given to Him, have a passion for the things of God and you will feel the passion Jesus has for you. The passion of Jesus did not end with the cross, that was but the beginning of His passion for the redeemed.
