2 Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:
3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

The English passion appears only one time in the Bible, in verse three above. After His passion is a reference to Christ and the work of salvation completed on the cross. But was the passion of Jesus really over, was it complete? Salvation was certainly complete but Jesus still has passion today. But passion for what? One thing is for the lost. Jesus still has passion to save today. What Jesus said in John twelve is true today. (John 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.) Jesus is still drawing men to be saved today, all men, all people. It is through the convicting power of the Holy Spirit, through the Word of God, through preaching, through missionary outreach, through evangelism, Jesus is still drawing today because Jesus has a passion for salvation, for the lost. What else does Jesus have passion for today. Does Jesus have passion for the redeemed? Does Jesus have passion for the church? Think about those things today and we will examine them over the next few days.
