Rev 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
KJV
This verse is speaking of the Lord Jesus Christ and there is none that are to be honored above our Lord and Savior. But there are many around us today deserving of honor. Recently I noticed an elderly man wearing a WWII hat so I stopped to talk to him. He served in the Northern African campaign and at fifteen years old was in combat. He of course had to lie about his age at enlistment, went through boot camp, and then was in the war. Truly he makes up part of the greatest generation. I asked if I could buy him lunch and he agreed. Why? Because he was deserving of honor. We today are engaged in a greater conflict than WWII, a great spiritual battle. How will we serve? Will it be with honor? We will one day be called to give an account of how we served and I wonder will the one deserving of honor be able to give honor to us?
