2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

One of my favorite Psalms is the ninety first and one reason for that is one word found in the above verses. What is that word? The word “Surely” found in verse three. What can we be sure of today? I can’t be sure of the news because most of it is fake from all networks. I can’t be sure of law and order because in many places the police have been told to ignore crime. I can’t be sure of political leaders because I have listened as they have lied to us over and over. A new administration promised jobs and the first day in office cut at least half a million jobs. What can one be sure of today? One can be sure of Jesus Christ and his Word. The word surely is found almost three hundred times in the Bible, not all in a positive context, but it is a wonderful study for one to make. What can one be sure of today? The Bible. Who can one be sure of today? Jesus.
