January 19th, 2021 by Pastor SolleySong 3:1-3 By night on my bed I sought him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not.
2 I will rise now, and go about the city in the streets, and in the broad ways I will seek him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not.
3 The watchmen that go about the city found me: to whom I said, Saw ye him whom my soul loveth?
KJV
I am taking this somewhat out of context this morning to make an application. Many Christians are wondering today why God has allowed things to begin to unfold as they are in our nation. An election so corrupt that a sitting President has been taken out of office, a senate election so corrupt that it allowed the balance of power to be perhaps forever changed, the speaker of the house so corrupt that bills have been presented to forbid the calling of a man and man and a woman a woman. What has happened in our nation and why has God allowed it to happen? One answer most certainly is that very few Christians will love the Lord and seek out the Lord in the way that we see it in the above verses. What a blessed service we had last evening in church, our church almost filled, what a challenge given to the people of God, and what a response. But as I looked around, looked into so many tear stained faces, I also wondered where are the many who are wondering today where God is? Why not seek Him and when you do you will find God is not hard to find.
