2 And he spake before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, What do these feeble Jews? will they fortify themselves? will they sacrifice? will they make an end in a day? will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which are burned?

With our special services upcoming I am reminded of how God has revived and built in times of adversity. Notice in verse two that the stones of the walls of Jerusalem and the temple would have to be revived out of rubbish. In the book of Acts God built His church through times of adversity, in time of persecution. Today we stand in a great persecution although many of God’s people cannot see it. The gospel has been chocked off with this pan-demic as it is called. Many churches have shut their doors in fear and in many states government has called for the churches to be shut down. What should God’s people do? Bow to fear, bow to government, or stand and fight for the gospel to get out? What would God have us do? Rob people of the opportunity to hear the gospel, keep families and children out of church, or trust Him? Nehemiah had to make a decision and he decided to trust God. The apostles had to make a decision and they decided to trust God. We also have to make hard decisions today in this world of rubbish. What will we do?
