Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.

How much do we hope that the beginning of this verse will apply to the New Year. 2021 is not set to begin in a very good way. Lock downs, travel restrictions, a government out of control, money being printed like it is waste paper, jobs lost, churches under attack. 2021 is certainly not set to begin in a good way. But our God is still on the throne and His promises are still true. God never promised to make a better America, but He did promise to take care of His children and that promise still holds true. Perhaps we will look back in twelve months, providing we do not hear the trumpet blast this coming year and say the end was better than the beginning. By the way, this preacher hopes that trumpet is heard soon.
