Isa 9:6-7
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

His name is wonderful because under His rule peace will never end. Hard to imagine isn’t it? A time of never ending peace and not just peace between countries when there is no war. This will also be a time of peace within, peace of mind, peace of heart, peace of soul. Now we can find that peace today in Jesus Christ and Jesus stands waiting for us to trust completely in Him. We can have today a peace that passes all understanding. But the world and the problems of life so often interrupt that peace. The world we live in, the things we must deal with on a daily basis, often move us to take our eyes off of Christ at least for a moment and that peace seems to slip away. This virus is an example of that. How many of us have been discouraged during these last months, how many have questioned God? Yet peace should be ours right now. There is coming a day my friend when that peace will never end, will never be interrupted. Then we will know His name is wonderful.
