For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

We continue our thoughts this morning from last week, Jesus being wonderful. Jesus is wonderful for what He brings, peace. Jesus is the Prince of Peace, so He must bring peace, but what type? A common saying at Christmas time is “Peace on earth, good will toward men.” That is not Bible at all. The only two times the phrase peace on earth is found in the Bible it has to do with a sword and division, not with peace at all. So what type of peace can one find in Jesus? Jesus can provide peace with God and peace of God. If you need ask what that is then you most likely are not saved today or at least you have not turned your life over to Him. Peace with God comes with salvation in Jesus Christ, peace of god comes with a walk with Jesus Christ. Do you have any real peace today? Do you know Him today? More tomorrow on this peace.
