Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

That wonderful name. Why is His such a wonderful name. This morning we need to acknowledge who Jesus is, the everlasting Father. Jesus is Almighty God. He is the one who spoke this world into being, the one who set boundaries for the seas, the one who keeps the stars in the skies, makes the winds blow, the rain and snow fall, Jesus is Almighty God and that makes Him wonderful. I wonder at times when I hear people curse and mock the name of Jesus if they realize that one day they will stand before a judgment throne in heaven and the God they will answer to is the very one they mocked? He is the wonderful one and you need to thank Him today for being alive, for being able to draw breath, for all the good things in life and even for the bad for Jesus is the everlasting Father, the Almighty God. That makes Him wonderful.
