November 27th, 2020 by Pastor SolleyHab 1:1-4 The burden which Habakkuk the prophet did see.
2 O Lord, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!
3 Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.
4 Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.
KJV
Have you ever asked God “How Long?” How long will God allow things to go on as they are? How long the violence, the sinful acts, the division in society, the wicked dominating this world, the lies, the cheating, have you ever wanted to ask God how long it is going to go on? If you have you are not alone as we see the prophet asking God the very same question in verse two above. We find need to realize that God owes us nothing and is obligated to answer NO questions that we might answer. Still we wonder at times, how long? That will be the subject of the message on Sunday and a possible answer from the Lord.
