Philem 1 Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer,
KJV
What are you a prisoner of today? Don’t be like the Jews of Jesus day who claimed they were never in bondage to any man at the very time they were in bondage to Rome. We all are a prisoner to someone or something. Paul was a prisoner of Jesus Christ, to what are you a prisoner today? I see so many Christians who have become prisoners to the cell phone and social media. They can’t be without that phone even to go to the house of God, it must always be in their possession. What they fail to realize is that the phone is possessing them. Many now a prisoner to the recent election and what is going to happen, who will be in the White House. It is almost like they are a slave to the one who will be President. We are to be serving Jesus all the time, everyday, He is our Lord and King. Why not be a prisoner to Jesus instead of Washington, instead of the cell phone and how many other things have a grip on us we can’t seem to break?
