25 The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.

Patience is something that I am often found lacking but also something that I seldom pray for. Yet I find that it is good to wait on the Lord, good to quietly wait on the Lord. That does mean that we be found walking in patience. Those two terms seem opposite as walking demands action and patience demands waiting. But they do go together in that we are to always be found moving forward in the Lord but still waiting for God to direct our steps. As I begin this day there are many things I have to do, many places I need to go, people I need to visit and so on. Yet I need to stop this morning for a time and quietly seek the Lord, wait on the Lord, meet with the Lord before I do anything else. I find it good for this man to sit quietly waiting on the Lord.
