Phil 4:10-13 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.
11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
KJV
Continuing from yesterday just a short list of those who had a hard time abounding. Joshua after the victory at Jericho, David after having rest on every side, Solomon after a good beginning, Peter after walking with Jesus for so long, Demas after serving the Lord with Paul. There are many who had a hard time abounding. What if they had remembered to be thankful in good times, remembered to be thankful while abounding? Evidence shows that they somehow forgot God while abounding and that needs to be a lessons for us today. It is important to stop and give thanks when things are difficult but just as important to stop and give thanks when things are going good, when we are abounding.
