John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

I have become very distressed and discouraged as I watched the returns of this election come in over the night. How can a self proclaimed Godly nation vote in an ungodly way? Yet there should be no trouble in my heart or yours because our God is still in control. Does that mean God knows what this outcome will be and God will use it to bring about His plan and purpose? Exactly. So instead of being troubled why not just rest in the Lord? Instead of being troubled when not just trust the Lord? There are many lessons for this preacher to learn as he waits and watches for what the outcome of this election will be.
