Gen 2:5 And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.
Rev 11:6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
KJV
Above are the first and last mentions of the word rain in the Bible. Why is that important? If you lived in the part of PA. That I do you would not have to ask that question. We need rain so badly and so many have been praying for rain and it is raining this morning as it did through much of the night I believe. What a blessing a few hours of rain can be when it is needed so much. It just reminds me of how much God is in control and when I think of that it beings a calmness to me. We have this election coming, the years are beginning to take a toll on many of us, what will tomorrow hold? All these things can be faced with a peace and calmness from the Lord when we remember who is on control of everything. Thank you Lord for the rain today.
