John 21:12 Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.

What a precious invitation. At a time when they were greatly troubled Jesus invited them to “Come and dine.” All had changed and was about to change and the disciples were troubled. They gave their lives to Jesus and then the cross and resurrection and all had changed. They had been good Jewish worshipers and now the period of Law was over and worship would change. What would they do with their lives having given up their fishing boats? There was change all about them and they were understandably troubled. John 14:1-2 must have been ringing in their ears. Then the invitation “Come and dine.” Spend time with Jesus for He had not changed. Be in the presence of Jesus for He had not changed. Rely on the provision of Jesus for He had not changed. “Come and dine.” What a precious invitation and it is yours today if you will accept it. In these troubling times answer the invitation of Jesus “Come and dine.”
