October 6th, 2020 by Pastor SolleyPhil 1:1-6 Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:
2 Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
4 Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,
5 For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;
6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

We saw yesterday what Christ did for us before He does something in us, He died for us on the cross. What now does Christ do to us before He does something in us? Christ draws us to Himself. (John 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.) The Calvinist in that false doctrine claims that only certain ones chosen by God can be saved but in this verse we see that all are drawn to Jesus Christ by Jesus Christ. Not all will be saved, but all will be drawn. This preacher is not willing to call God a liar, all are drawn. Part of the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to convict man of sin and draw man to Jesus Christ. No individual standing in judgment before God will be able to claim they were unwanted by Christ or never had an opportunity to be saved. Jesus said He would drawl all men and all does mean all. That is not just one verse pointing to this drawing. (2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.) There is a long list of verses pointing to this drawing by Christ. What did Jesus do for you? He died for you. What did Jesus do to you? He drew you to Himself.
