Here is another appointed time and it also has to do with death, the time appointed for Jesus Christ to come into this world. From the very moment Jesus came into this world in Bethlehem He began a march toward the cross, to the appointed time of His death. But the death of Jesus differs from ours in that Jesus knew from the beginning when He would come into this world and the time that He would offer His life on the cross as a sacrifice for our sin. You see, Jesus was in control of all things all the time. That is quite different from the time we will die. I know, you know that death is coming. But when? Because we don’t know we must be ready for that day. Are you ready this morning, have you been born again?
