Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt.
Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, Aha, aha.
Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.
But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O Lord, make no tarrying.

A God centered prayer in anticipation of our prayer meeting tomorrow evening. Many if not most times in prayer we tell God what we need, what we want, and when to do those things for us. But notice David under inspiration of the Holy Spirit states that if one is seeking the Lord they need to first rejoice in the Lord, be glad in the Lord, love the salvation of the Lord, and magnify the Lord. (Verse 4) It is after those things that David pleads for the help of the Lord. How much time do you spend just thanking the Lord, being glad and rejoicing in the Lord, magnifying the Lord? If that answer is none it might explain why we get frustrated in prayer. Perhaps God is waiting to hear a word of thanksgiving and praise before God does even more for us.
