Rev 14:12-13 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
KJV
Today is the day that as a nation America rests from labor. I think this morning of labor for the Lord and when we are to rest from that labor. Are we to take time off, to rest from reading His Word, from prayer, from being an example of what a Christian is, from witnessing to the lost? When should we rest from labor for the Lord? Well, it is never labor if we are serving and following the Lord for the right reasons and with the right heart. (Matt 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.) We may need rest from worldly labor but not from spiritual. So continue on for the Lord this Labor Day dear Christian, keep on keeping on for our wonderful Lord.
