1 Cor 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
KJV
Is God really the Father of us all? Some claim that because all things begin with God and all things consist because of God that God is the Father of us all. In one broad way they are correct because all things do begin and consist because of God. Even the unbeliever has life because God gave and allows it. But so many point to what they call the universal Fatherhood of God as meaning they will be in heaven one day because God is the Father of all. That is not Bible. Jesus said this in John 8:44 “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” God is our Father only when we have a personal relationship with him through salvation in Jesus Christ. Can you claim God as your Father today and a home in heaven? Only if you have been born again and know Jesus Christ as your personal savior.
