1 Kings 2:11 And the days that David reigned over Israel were forty years: seven years reigned he in Hebron, and thirty and three years reigned he in Jerusalem.
KJV
Looking for a verse with the numbers forty and seven in it because that is the numbers of campers we have. This verse fits because our aim is to see young people saved but also to see them make Jesus Christ ruler and master of their lives. We have a number of first times campers with us this year and they were of course nervous to begin the day yesterday but all seemed to adjust. We have good counselors in both the girls and boys cabins and that is what helps to make the young ones feel at ease. We took temps of all campers and staff to begin the camp and will do so each morning so that is new this year. Some other adjustments have been made but what has not changed is the preaching and by the grace of God that never will. Pray for our first full day today, for continued protection and safety, for souls to be saved and lives dedicated to Christ.
