June 29th, 2020 by Pastor Solley1 Thess 4:13-18 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

It is a comfort in these troubled days to think of the return of Jesus Christ and how soon that could be. I had an uncle who used to say often “Those on the other side aren’t missing anything here.” He is now with the Lord having passed late last year so he has missed all that is going on right now but his words ring truer and truer with each passing day. I wonder how much longer until we as believers in Christ hear the trumpet sound, how much longer until we hear the command to come up and meet Jesus in the air? The truth is we must be ready today. That was also true of everyday in the past but with all this unrest, division, and sickness it is more true today. What must you do to be ready for His return? Are you born again? Do you need to witness of the grace and mercy of God to some close to you before it is too late? Do you need to get your life in order? Be ready dear reader because we could hear that trumpet today.
