June 18th, 2020 by Pastor SolleyJudg 6:31-32 And Joash said unto all that stood against him, Will ye plead for Baal? will ye save him? he that will plead for him, let him be put to death whilst it is yet morning: if he be a god, let him plead for himself, because one hath cast down his altar.
32 Therefore on that day he called him Jerubbaal, saying, Let Baal plead against him, because he hath thrown down his altar.

Now we begin to see the far reaching results of Gideon’s action. There was opposition for sure but it did move some to stop and consider if the idol was going to be able to stand before God and when that answer was no it moved them to follow after not only Gideon but Jehovah. What if when we take a stand for the Lord it has influence on just one? Would that be worth it? If that one has influence upon another, would that be worth it? Yes it would be worth it if just one were to be moved to the Lord. But when that one moves one and that one moves one and that one moves one we see the first steps in true revival. Gideon I am sure did not see the far reaching results of his stand, his only goal was pleasing God. When we have the same goal we will see the same results.
