Acts 1:12-14 Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day’s journey.
13 And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.
14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
KJV
I am going to speak on Sunday about the upper room, what took the disciples there, what they did there, and what that did for them because they were there. The upper room was a place where they prayed. The prayer meeting in that upper room may have went on for as long as seven days. The modern day Christian seems to prefer the supper room more than the upper room but it is still prayer that we need most today. How often do you disappear into the upper room and how long do you stay there? We need today to be spending more time than we ever have in the upper room, our prayer closet or however you want to say it. We do need to pray.
