17 And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha:
18 Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.
19 And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.

The Bible always says exactly what it should say, the very words of God are before us on the printed page. The soldiers led Jesus away, led Him to the cross. But in truth no man ever led Jesus anywhere He did not intend to go. The King of kings, the Lord of lords was not led to the cross by man but whet to the cross out of love for man, even those that thought they were leading Him to His death. Jesus willingly suffered and died so that all could be saved. Jesus went to the cross to provide salvation for all. Never think the cross was something our Lord did not want or desire. His meat was always to do the will of the Father and the will of the Father as well as His was to go to that cross. Yes, they led Him there. But not really.
