February 7th, 2020 by Pastor SolleyMic 2:10 Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction.
KJV
This preacher has never witnessed so many people in distress as we see today. In the political scene there is no one at peace. The liberal is coming apart, the conservative is screaming foul, all is upheaval and people are in an uproar. What of the Christian? Many are just as distressed as the lost and that should not be. Not that we should not be concerned or involved. I vote, I pray, but this world is not my rest There is however a rest for the people of God and that begins in Jesus Christ. Then we become settled in Christ and realize we are just passing through this world. When one begins to walk in this light the things of this world are not so distressing as they are to others. I pray for our president, pray about the upcoming elections, but I am also willing to just lay those things down at the feet of the one in control of all things. It is amazing then how stress and worry seem to vanish away.
