7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

What if man had never gone astray? It is a good thought, that man never have sinned, or is it? The immediate answer is yes, it would have been good if man never had sinned and I certainly agree with that. But then how would have ever known the depths of the love of Jesus Christ fo us? That love would be the same, it would not be lessened, the love of God, the love of Jesus was not changed by the fall of man, it was not increased or decreased by sin. But that love is demonstrated in a way that I can see when I see Jesus Christ on that cross. It is a love I can never fully understand but a love that is seen when Jesus says not a word before His accusers and condemners and goes willingly and silently to the cross. What if man had never gone astray, would I really be able to see the love Jesus has for me?
