January 6th, 2020 by Pastor Solley1 Peter 5:6-8 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Is verse seven a real possibility? Can we really give every care, every worry, every trouble in life to the Lord and trust that He will take care of those things, that He will do all things well. Every Christian reading this knows that is a real possibility, that He does care and that He will take care of us. Why then is that truth so far from becoming a reality in so many lives? Why is it so hard to continue in that truth day after day? Because of verse eight. That is also true my friend and one of the ways Satan attacks us is by casting doubt in our mind about the power and care of the Lord Jesus Christ. Every problem in life needs to be turned over to Him and Him alone. But so often we try and solve things ourselves, or take the problem first to others, and that leads to fear and doubt in our minds, that leads to worry overtaking us. There are some things in life we need to take to others. Medical problems for one should be taken to doctors. But they first need to be taken to the Lord, they first need be given to Jesus, we should seek Him first. I myself am about to undergo some more testing and I need go to the doctors, hear what they say. But first I need to give them to Jesus and let Him take care of me. It may be His will to grant a Divine healing, it may be His will to grant a healing through the doctors, treatment, or surgery, but it is better to leave it in His hands and not worry about it.
