5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.

Revelation chapter six give us our first look into the tribulation period in the book of Revelation and here we see a black horse going into the world bringing a famine. The tribulation period does begin with a short lived peace but quickly turns as the judgment of Almighty God is poured out on the world. Praise God the believer in Christ will be raptured before it begins. I look here this morning because this has been named “Black Friday” the busiest shopping day of the year. Millions of people are shopping today as a real day of blackness approaches, as the judgment of God approaches. How close are we to the rapture? This preacher knows better than to set a date, but we are certainly closer than we were a year ago. The world has grown darker, Satan is more active than ever, people seem to be willingly ignorant of a coming judgment. This really is a black Friday when you think of the lost shopping, going about getting ready for Christmas and all the while caring not for the one who gave His life on Calvary, caring not for the one who came into this world to save us from outer darkness and hell, to save us from blackness.
