October 25th, 2019 by Pastor Solley2 Cor 5:4-7 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
KJV
There is an old saying “Seeing is believing.” Yet I find that I am to walk by faith and not by sight. Which way do you choose to walk in this world, by faith or by sight? Most people who choose to walk by sight do not believe even after they have seen. Take the atheist for example. He sees all the wonders of creation around him day by day and still refuses to believe there is a God in heaven, a creator who has authority over all. Take the Calvinist who sees over and over again in the Bible that Jesus died for all and whosoever will may come. Still he refuses to believe salvation is free to all who repent and come to Jesus. Most people who must see to believe continue in darkness even after they have seen. It is far better to just live by faith, take God at His Word, and place our lives confidently in His capable hands.
