KJV
I have preached a few messages out of Song of Solomon over the years, not many because of the content of the book. But there are some great blessings in that book that are at times overlooked. Here I find pleasant fruits laid up, both new and old and I want to apply that to the blessings of God laid up for His children. I look forward to the blessings God has for me today. (Lam 3:22-23 It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.) But I also look back on the blessings of the past. God has been so very good to me and all of them that are born again. When the storm clouds darken your skies think of what is coming, pleasant fruit brand new. Until they arrive think on the pleasant fruit of the past. Our God is truly good to us all the time.
