And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she lighted off the camel.
For she had said unto the servant, What man is this that walketh in the field to meet us? And the servant had said, It is my master: therefore she took a vail, and covered herself.
And the servant told Isaac all things that he had done.
And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah’s tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved her: and Isaac was comforted after his mother’s death.

I have written about meditating upon the Word of God in the recent past and came across this portion of Scripture this morning and was blessed with the truth of what took place in the life of Isaac as he was in meditation I am sure on the Lord and the things of the Lord. Isaac takes time to be apart and alone, goes to a place he can just think of the Lord, and as he does that he is rewarded. I am not saying we will find such a reward each time we meditate upon the Word of God because I do think this was a part of the life of Isaac. I am saying that God will reward us for giving ourselves wholly unto Him. That reward may be immediate or come down the road, but God does reward those who are given to Him.
