2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

How often do you meditate upon the Word of God, upon the things of God? According to the Bible it should be often. (1 Tim 4:15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.) I think the reason that so many professing Christians are in such distress so much of the time is that they fail to realize what meditating on the Bible, on the things of God will do for them. This world holds nothing but distress for us. There are things that cause us to worry surrounding us all the time. Health issues, family issues, work issues, they pile up. Where can we find relief? Begin to meditate upon the Word of God, on the good things of God. Instead of rushing through your Bible reading think of what is being said to you and why. Instead of looking at the troubles and trials of life give yourself to the good things God has given and done good things for you. How often do you meditate upon the Word of God?
