Num 1:52-54 And the children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, throughout their hosts.
53 But the Levites shall pitch round about the tabernacle of testimony, that there be no wrath upon the congregation of the children of Israel: and the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of testimony.
54 And the children of Israel did according to all that the Lord commanded Moses, so did they.
KJV
This is the first time the word standard is used in the Bible. While Israel moved towards the Promised Land they would camp around the tabernacle and each tribe had a standard, a flag that identified them. No one had any difficulty knowing where they were to be or even knowing who they were, they had a standard they marched under. Today is seems no one wants to be identified, no one wants to stand under a standard. How many professing Christians do you know who live so much like the lost that you can’t tell the difference? Now they are even telling us that an individual can’t tell what gender they are. We need to get back to raising a standard and standing by it. There is no shame in being a born again Christian, in taking a stand for the Lord, in being known by your actions that you are a Christian. What even happened to our standard, to your standard? It is time to once again be known by a standard.
