Dan 5:25-27 And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.
26 This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it.
27 TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.

This Babylonian king had lifted himself up above all in the world and he thought all in heaven as well. But when he found himself in the balances of God he found himself wanting and God’s wrath soon fell upon him. I often wonder what God thinks, what God sees when he places me on His scale, what does He find wanting in me? Is my prayer life what it should be, do I read my Bible as I should, am I loving and kind, do I have a burden for souls, am I a good brother in the Lord to others? What does God find when I am placed on His scale? It is a question we should often ask ourselves and if we would perhaps we would not be found as that king was, wanting in the balances.
