1 John 2:5-6 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Two very simple verses but they present the biggest challenge in the Christian life, to walk as He walked. No man or woman will be able to do this because Jesus was perfect and we are not, but every child of God ought to try to walk as He walked. How are we doing? Look back at yesterday alone and count the many times you did something, looked at something, thought something or said something that Jesus would not have. In my life there are many. Now how many things did you neglect to do that He would have done? In my life there are many. I find myself failing miserably in walking the way He walked. Yet my Lord is not looking for perfection in me, He is looking for effort and improvement day by day. Are you giving Him at least that much?
