John 5:7-13 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.
10 The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.
11 He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk.
12 Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk?
13 And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place.
KJV
Here was a man healed by Jesus and he did not know who Jesus was. I want to compare this to the many things Jesus does for us that we don’t know about. We know who Jesus is, we have been saved by the blood of Jesus Christ, but how many things does Jesus do for us that we don’t even know about? Monday I put a few hundred miles on our car visiting a missionary we support. Who was it that took me safely on my way, protected me, took care of me that day? Jesus. Yesterday I was hunting in the morning, visiting midday, working in the afternoon. Who took care of me, protected me? Jesus. Today I will sit at my desk, work on messages, prepare for a prayer service. Who will give wisdom, direction, protect me today? Jesus. Jesus will do all of those things without being asked, although we should be asking, do them all without notice. Take some time to think of all the things that Jesus will do for you today and most of them without being asked and without notice.
