52 And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him.
53 And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem.

Jesus Christ came into this world with a purpose. (Luke 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.) It took time to fulfill that purpose, time to grow into a man, time to have the way prepared, time to proclaim the Kingdom Gospel, time to offer Himself as Messiah to Israel, it took time to fulfill that purpose. But all the while Jesus was marching to the cross, His face was always set, always going about to do the will of the Father, always set to fulfill that purpose, always set to go to the cross. I am seeing a lot of adds about documentaries, movies, plays and the like about the life of Jesus. If you want to know of the life of Jesus read your Bible and never look past the purpose of Christ, never look past the cross. Jesus Christ came with the purpose of providing salvation for you, of going to the cross for you. Anything that does not tell that story has missed the purpose of Christ.
