Eph 5:15-16 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Col 4:5 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.
KJV
The above verses contain the only places the word redeeming is found in the New Testament and they both are in relation to time. The application here is that we are to make good use of our time, not waste it. We turn our clocks this weekend springing ahead. Do we lose an hour or gain an hour? Neither, there are still twenty four hours in a day. But what do we do with our time, with the hour we supposedly gain? We need to use our time, all of it, wisely before God. We can give time to self, time to recreation, time to work, time to other things, but we must also give time to God and make wise use of our time. Someone you know is lost and headed to hell, have you ever taken time to tell them of Jesus? Someone you know is discouraged, have you taken the time to pray for them? What do you do with your time?
