2 Cor 12:8-9 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
KJV
Do you believe these verses? Many Christians in this world today do not have any confidence in this verse, they don’t believe the grace of God to be sufficient for them. Why do I say that? Because they look for other areas of help in their time of need, they complain about their lot in life, they ask “Why me?” I am not saying that in sickness we should not seek out a physician, that in doubt we should not seek out Godly counsel, but I am saying that many today push God out of the picture all together. It is the Lord that we need seek out first, not last. When trouble arrives in your life who do you turn to first? Is it true of you that you first turn to Jesus Christ and ask for grace to meet the need? These verses are just as much for us today as they were for Paul at that time.
